Issues with Sitemap Indexing

I’ve been running an e-commerce site for over a year now, and while I’m consistently updating my sitemap and submitting it to Google, some new product pages are taking weeks to appear in search results. It’s really slowing down the visibility of my new launches. I’ve already double-checked that my robots.txt is clean, and my sitemap file is properly formatted. I use an SEO plugin to auto-generate it, but something’s clearly not working efficiently. Has anyone found a way to analyze or clean up sitemaps better? Are there tools that might help ensure every single URL gets indexed? I’m open to suggestions for tools or strategies to improve this.

I’ve had a similar issue when managing my site’s pages, especially with products that needed quick visibility. What helped me figure things out was learning to extract URLs from XML file to ensure everything was included in the sitemap. Sometimes, auto-generated sitemaps leave out certain URLs because of small errors or settings in plugins. I used a simple tool that allowed me to pull all URLs from the XML sitemap and cross-check them with live links on my site. Once I spotted a few missing pages, I manually added them to the sitemap and resubmitted it to Google Search Console. You’d be surprised how often small mistakes get overlooked! Another thing to note is that duplicate pages or incorrect canonical tags can slow indexing down, so it’s worth running a quick audit on those as well. If you’re not familiar with tools to extract URLs, there are plenty of free ones online that’ll make the job easier. Fixing my sitemap this way cut my indexing time by half for some pages, so it’s worth a shot.
